New Album of Rarities, Covers, Outtakes, and More: Basement Tapes, Volume 1

So, recently I was inspired to dig into my archives looking for some outtakes or alternate versions. Originally I was hoping to find one or two tracks that I could include as bonus tracks on my new album: MUSIC SOUNDS.

Guess what? I found ELEVEN tracks — a full album’s worth of never-heard-before demos, covers, lost album tracks, and other rarities.

These tracks deserve their own album. I’m calling it BASEMENT TAPES, VOL. 1 (because if you guys like it, I may go digging for more!). This is not a slick produced album like MUSIC SOUNDS (which John Pavletic has been meticulously mixing and mastering for nearly a year!), but it has some cool tracks (including a remake of the Pezband ballad “Didn’t We” from Cover to Cover).

BASEMENT TAPES will be available in limited quantities — just for my fans. I plan on offering a special bundle with MUSIC SOUNDS, which you will be able to pre-order on my website very soon (stay tuned for an announcement about that).

In the mean time, check out the track list here.

You can also preview one of the tracks: a cover of the Paul McCartney penned “Goodbye” (made famous by Welsh folk singer Mary Hopkins). Listen.

Ok, that’s all for now. Back to work — in the basement!
